Some girls
have dreams, dreams much more complicated and far more unusual than the rest of
them. They think ‘out of the box’ and unexpected things about their lives. They may
be revolutionary in their ideas but there is no lie in what they do. No hiding
in what they find apt and comfortable. Their dream is to live their life in
infinite possible ways, explore the world, explore air, explore water, explore
earth, explore life and most importantly explore themselves. They have fire in
their eyes, the fire that doesn’t burn and harm someone but fire that can light up
their worlds. They have power in themselves, power not to crush the powerless
but raise all those who are not confident enough, till her level.
I know a
girl like this. She has dreams, she dreams of her life to be. What does she want
her life to be like??
She wants
her life to be free, she wants to make herself so perfect that one can never
find any flaw in her. But as nature abides by the rules, there are lots of
obstacles and hurdles in her path of doing so. Being a girl it isn’t that easy
to live a life of her own choice. There are a lot of barriers and oppositions.
Once she got
so low that she thought of dropping the idea of her dreams and live a monotonous and
orthodox way. She was demoralized, she was broken inside, was disgusted by what
people thought about her, she was furious and sad at the same time. Everything was
finished, every path closed. She ran to her favourite place on the terrace,
lying awake under the black, beautiful sky, holding infinitesimal shining
stars, listening to songs and broken and lost from inside.
Suddenly she
glared at the small but brightest star in the sky, and one by one had a look at
every star her eyes can reach to. They seemed her shinier than before and a
smile popped up on her face. Her heart pounded and in a blink of an eye, she
knew she couldn’t give up on her dreams, her life.
Don’t know
what exactly but those stars gave her a hint. Suddenly she rose up, got
determined. She knew she wanted to be like the pole star, alone in the sky but
fixed at its point, determined and giving directions to the lost ones from
zillions of centuries. She knew she wanted to be like Venus, the brightest star of
all, which gets noticed among all the stars. The first one to be seen at dawn and
the last one to be seen at dusk. She knew she wanted to fulfil her dreams by
hook or by crook.
Whatever happens, she can never give up on her dreams. She knew this now. She knew she can be
happy anytime she wanted, she knew she had all that it takes to fulfil her
dreams. She knew she can overcome any of the obstacles, be it society, or people who are so called “friends” around her. She knew it for sure now. She
was happy again.
This girl I know
will fulfill her dreams. She will never give up, never surrender, and when she is broken and burnt and feels like giving up, she will rise from the ashes just as a phoenix does. Fire won't be her enemy anymore.
